The annual SHGC Christmas Party will be Saturday, December 2 beginning at 10 a.m. Rose has graciously opened up her beautiful home for the festivities. Members will be sent directions to her home. 
We are continuing the tradition of "Dirty Santa" or "White Elephant".  It is always alot of fun. If you wish to participate, please bring a wrapped gift under $20 in value.
The SHGC usually chooses a charity or two to give back during the holiday season. We have chosen the Center of Hope in Colubmia. It is a domestic violence shelter.  Here is additional information:

Let's not forget about our furry friends. This time of year is especially hard on rescues. "Big Fluffy Dog Rescue" headquartered in Nashville has been chosen. Additional information is provided in the link.

It is completely optional if you choose to give. If you would like to donate, please write a check directly to the charity. The checks will be collected and sent together to the respective charity.

The SHGC is excited to have David Cook, a Davidson County UT Ag Extension agent, speak to  our club on Saturday, November 11th. He will be discussing pollinators and planting for pollinators throughout the four seasons. Light refreshments served from 9 to 9:30 followed by the presentation. Location and directions will be emailed to members.
